I have a solid background in carpentry/construction, heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical experience. I financed my college degree by working for a carpenter: remodeling, repairs, and building on additions to new construction. After earning a degree from Illinois State University, I started Doehring Home Improvement, continuing to gain valuable information about construction methods, maintenance, and developing a more durable, efficient, and safer home. Many years of on-the-job training led to my desire to become a home inspector. I have been a home inspector since the beginning of 2000 and have done over 9,000 inspections.
